Pasta, for me, is the ultimate comfort food. I love anything to do with pasta or macaroni, as they are my go-to on my lazy days. Today i am sharing a super easy Keema Macaroni recipe for busy weeknight Meals. One dish I make quite frequently when I have some mince is this one. Nice and simple, full of flavors.
Photo: Keema Macaroni ( Mince Macaroni)
This ain’t your ordinary pasta. With flavors bursting out from every corner, this one is delicious! To make it more unique and give a distinct flavor, I have used my ever favorite Italian Pasta Sauce.
Photo: Keema Macaroni ( Mince Macaroni)
You can use any macaroni for this recipe, but I totally recommend trying elbow or something that can help hold all of those tiny pieces of mince. I used my favorite whole wheat pasta. Cook it al dente according to package instructions.
While the pasta is cooking, saute up an onion and mince until cooked. Then add in some garlic, herb seasoning and pasta sauce. And once the pasta is cooked, drain and add it to the saute pan. I would add a dollop cheese or mayonnaise to make it more moist and gulp it down!
Isn’t that to easy?? Easy enough even for a weekday night? Of Course Yes!!

This is a really delicious pasta dish and the taste of the basil really comes through beautifully. The minced meat balances out the starch of the macaroni really well. A perfect dance of herb and spice ensues in your mouth…That you have to experience!
As you can see, the recipe is just as good and vibrant and delicious as ever. 🙂

Some Tips for the Perfectly Cooked Keema Macaroni:
Never cook your macaroni in boiling hot water, it destroys the outer layer of the macaroni however you may not realize it. So, always throw in your macaroni or whatsoever in simmering water, a stage before boiling for best results.
Always add a reasonable amount of salt to water, in which you will be cooking your macaroni.
Once your macaroni has been boiled, strain it, take it out of the hot water and quickly rinse them in cold or regular tap water and the set aside. This stops the macaroni from further cooking, which results in soggy, dull and bland macaroni.
Once you throw macaroni into your dish, let it cook and absorb the wonderful flavours of the dish, by letting it sit in the pan for 2-3 minutes with the lid closed and on slowest flame. Macaroni is bland, has no particular flavour so this step is very critical as well as rewarding.

Recipe Note’s:
You can use any pasta of choice , i like the taste of brown rice pasta compared to others.
You can add veggies e.g. carrots, capsicum, green peas if you like. Everything in this recipe is optional. Go as you please. Play with flavours.
If you make this recipe, be sure to snap a photo and hashtag it #Recipestable. I’d love to see what you cook!

Have you ever wanted something so bad you think you’d die if you don’t have it? And when you think you’ve finally gotten it, its snatched away from you?
If yes, then this Egg Pudding is especially for you.
Eat it warm, eat it cold; it provides comfort like no other.
Egg pudding is just one of those things that never fails to bring a smile on your face or warmth to your toes. Its rich, its smooth, and it is so so SO easy to make even my fogged up brain can whip it up. Just needs a little bit of patience and whole lot of whisking!
Easy Smooth & Rich Egg Pudding
Egg Pudding was my most favorite treat growing up. This easy dessert can be quickly made for festive occasions. Surprise everyone and get loads of compliments by making this easy egg pudding.
Easy Smooth & Rich Egg Pudding
Here’s a recipe for making a easy, simple, yet rich, smooth and satisfying egg pudding. I made this for my family and it totally rocked!! They said it was the most creamiest and richest egg pudding they’ve ever tasted. I never had any leftovers, and it would never be enough for them (lol). The only thing I WOULD get however, would be requests to make more!
Easy Smooth & Rich Egg Pudding
The creamy texture of this soft-smooth pudding is so inviting, you could call it comfort food. This recipe for egg pudding has a pleasant vanilla flavor complemented by cinnamon or nutmeg. This is the best dessert. I like it most for its sponginess. And it is also very easy to make with in 35 minutes.
Easy Smooth & Rich Egg Pudding
Some Important Tips to Make Best Egg Pudding:
Learn how to make best Egg Pudding by following these tips and tricks.
One-dish Pudding: Recipe can be baked in lightly greased 1-1/2 qt. soufflé or baking dish. Pour hot water to within 1 inch of top of dish. Increase baking time to 35 to 40 minutes.
No-mess pouring:Make pudding in a bowl with a pouring lip, or transfer it to a large glass measure, to make filling pudding cups easier and neater.
For perfectly smooth custard: Strain it through a sieve when filling pudding cups or baking dish to remove any tough egg strands.
Don’t skip the hot-water bath. A hot water bath, insulates the pudding from the direct heat of the oven and promotes even cooking so the edges don’t overcook before the center is done. Very hot tap water will do.
When is it done? Baked Pudding should be removed from the oven (and water bath) before the center is completely set. The center will jiggle slightly when dish or cup is gently shaken. Pudding will continue to “cook” after it’s removed and center will firm up quickly. Over baked Pudding may curdle.
The knife test: Test for doneness with a thin-bladed knife. Insert knife about 1 inch from the center of the dish. If knife is clean when pulled out, the pudding is done. If pudding clings to the blade, bake a few minutes longer and test again.
Serving Options: You can have this yummy dessert by adding dry fruits, jelly or caramel, but today I am making the basic one.
If you are craving for something sweet yet easy dessert in this foggy weather, nothing could be better than this Egg Pudding. Do try it, your kids are going to fall in love with this proteins and calcium rich dessert. You can also serve this dessert for your next party and this will definitely not going to disappoint your guests.

Assalam-o-Alaikum, how are you? Yep, it’s been almost a month since we met. First things first…I had my mid-term exams, so I was lil busy with studying and the other stuff in my life.
However this gap between us wasn’t planned. I was hoping to catch up with you in between, but it didn’t work out.
My celebration “yay, exam is over!”
Finally exams are over I’m finally free to do whatever I want (blogging, eating yummy food, spending time with my plants)😌
Anyways, the first thing I wanted to do was to just pop in here & say a quick hi to you. I hope you roll into the weekend in a joyous mood! May your day be as fantastic as you are!
Karahi Butter Chicken (Makhni Karahi)
To release some exams stress, I made this butter karahi by twisting my Father’s recipe…delicious goodness. Can’t wait to share it with you. He used to make the best food. He was an expert on how to make a really good Butter Chicken. Saying that, I’m not too sure how He would feel about this Karahi Butter Chicken version that I’m currently loving.
Karahi Butter Chicken (Makhni Karahi)
Name me one thing that doesn’t taste better with a few dollops of cream, a knob or so of butter, a splash of milk, lashings of ghee.
I’ll bet you’re having a hard time thinking up something. It’s a truth of the culinary world that these things all enhance the eating experience of many foods, sweet and savory foods alike and curries are no exception to this.
Karahi Butter Chicken (Makhni Karahi)
Take this Karahi Butter Chicken ( Makhni Karahi), for example. I’ve taken the traditional Chicken Karahi dish and made it the way we all love, with the very flavours we all adore and then finished it up with a hearty amount of butter. What does this do? This fills every bite with the very same flavours we desire, along with a moreish, rich bite to it. Every bite tastes like a buttery dream, I tell you. This creamy and velvety gravy will melt in your mouth.

Recipe Note’s
My final words before I give you the recipe – my Father was an expert at Karahi’s and he always told me what with chicken Karahis, you must work fast. Have all the ingredients chopped up beforehand if you can, and cook the entire thing on high heat. Stirring constantly is imperative, otherwise you risk burning the curry or having it stick to the pan. Skimp on half the oil or butter if you must, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a Karahi dish isn’t truly a Karahi dish without its butter or oil.
I have also posted Restaurant Style Lahori Mutton Karahi andKebab Karahiwhich are another easiest & tastiest version of making Karahi at home. Do check it out as well. It’s finger lickin’ good. You’ll be coming back for more.

Mini Pizza Cups
Mini Pizza Cups
I’m sure you’ve all heard of or made Pizza Cupcakes or Pizza Muffins before. But as simple or obvious as this recipe seems, sometimes we need a good reminder of the un-fussy classics. Sometimes you don’t have time or the right ingredients to make an elaborate meal. When this happens, it’s good to have something simple and inexpensive to fall back on.
Healthy, Budget Friendly Mini Pizza Cups? Yes, Yes, and Yes!
Mini Pizza Cups
If you’re crazy about pizza like me, but can’t justify eating it as much as you’d like, this is a great recipe for you. I used leftover pizza dough, chicken, lots of fresh vegetables, and a tablespoon or so of cheese on each mini pizza. Considering each pizza cup base 60 calories, the shredded chicken & cheese about 40 calories, and the rest of the ingredients were vegetables, I’m guessing each pizza had about 150 calories. This is not scientific, but it’s my best guess.
Mini Pizza Cups
An interesting and fun way to present your pizzas. These cute little pizza cups will delight anyone, especially kids. Have your children create their own pizzas, and get creative with the toppings. Perfectly shaped and easy to handle, they make for a great addition to lunch boxes or for picnics and road trips.

Well this is the first time I am writing a review for any of the food place in Lahore. I am a big foodie and have been visiting many places very often. But from now, I’ll try to update my readers regularly about different food places, hotels , restaurants, food chains, even roadside food stalls and much more.
So my today review is about an old Roadside Go Go Restaurant.
No more shopping til you drop. I was so hungry while doing shopping on mall road and I wanted some good food, real right thing to satisfy my taste buds. Then this sign board just caught my eye. In a jiff I decided to go there to satisfy my hunger.
Review: Go Go Restaurant – OLD IS GOLD
Go Go Restaurant is a Small restaurant hidden in a strip mall and they have a history of 50 years of hospitality.
I had visited this place after a decade to recall & refresh some childhood memories. This fast food restaurant was one of my favorites in childhood. I had many pleasant memories in that restaurant. Good Meal brings back so many childhood memories lol those were the days mann!
I took a deep breath and imagined my father is here and we are enjoying Club Sandwiches together. Cheers!
You know that expression, “I’was so hungry, I could eat a whale! Oh…” No? Good. And if there’s one thing in life that you can be sure about (besides death and taxes), it’s the joy of eating yummy food!
Old days revived, the same taste, the same food, same old memories.
They have a history of serving one of the yummyburgers. Their simplechicken burger’s awesome. They have maintained their food quality but their service ambiance quality has been dropped. They need to open another branch with good service and better seating.
GO GO RESTAURANT ~ 50 Years Of Hospitality
Service
Their club sandwiches and Finger Fish are very good, but their service ambiance quality has been dropped. They need to open another branch with good service and better seating.
Waitress were very friendly and helpful (i.e., always ready to take photographs for guests) and our food was served quickly. It took about about 10 mins. Pleasantly surprised.
Order
Their menu, of course, had lots of options! Chicken burgers, cheese burgers, beef burgers, Sandwiches, Drinks, Shashlik etc. Watching me clueless, their guy started suggesting me their hot sellers. So, my order was as follows: Finger Fish, French Fries and Simple Sandwich & Coleslaw Salad ~ the perfect cure for the cold weather. It was a complete meal I would say.
Food
Sandwiches were Incredibly so good. Finger Fish was flavorful and crunchy but few pieces were over burned (dark brown color was not eye appealing).French fries had a pure desi nice flavour and the crispy, yet moist inside. The Fries were tasted just like original home-made fries but the sauce was a bit less spicy.
Coleslaw Salad was so delicious. It’s cool creaminess, crunchy texture, and tangyflavor balances out the richness of fried fish and chips.
fish finger, chips with buttery sandwiches with coleslaw __ A Yummy treat For My Hungry Tummy!!
As soon as I dig my tooth into the crunchy fish, it was a blast of flavors with creamy coleslaw. Too good! So, every fish lover like me can go for it without a second thought!
But too huge for me to eat all by myself. :/
Childhood memories all in one bite.
Sat down eating the starters, I met this blue eyed cute cat at a restaurant.
Cutie Cut busy enjoying finger fish 😛
Value for Money
I would say that this place an absolute value-for-money! The appetizers starting from Rs. 100 and burgers as low as Rs. 290. While the Finger Fish was Rs. 410, which at first seemed a bit pricey but the heavenly experience is totally worth it!
Rs 410 for finger fish platter were not bad. It’s definitely worth extending a shopping visit to get a bite to eat. 😛
Final Verdict
7 out of 10,
Rating: 4-star, Recommended!
Very reasonable prices and good food! Only draw back is no sitting place had to sit on road side tables. While Go Go Restaurant may not be the ideal place to celebrate a party because of outdoor sitting, but it’s great to have some friends over for a fun afternoon lunch. Oh and the food – just perfect.

Too tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city life. Mostly at home all-day-long.This isn’t feeding my adventurous soul at all. My restless spirit & adventurous soul shouting out for a change and I was just looking for a fun way to pleased my soul.
And then, I got a trip notification from my University. After a bit of hiatus to recharge my batteries, I suddenly got the urge to join this adventure. I decided without thinking one second. yes, I should definitely go.
How could I say no to that??
Travel is my favorite thing to do in life. I love to take pictures of nature and good food.

Trip To Neela Wahan Valley (Hidden Beauty of Pakistan)
Yesterday, I got a chance to visit Neela Wahan valley with my university fellows. It was very well planned visit and no doubt I enjoyed alot. Only thing bothering me was loud music.
Neela Wahan Parking Stand
Neela Wahan
Neela means Blue and Wahan means Water Pond. These water falls & ponds are located 30 km away from kalar kahar lake on Khushab road in Nurpur Village(District Chakwal). From there do ask any local person about the gateway to Neela wahan valley. There is no sign board or benchmark available which i can tell you.
Exact trial start from grave yard in from of water tank from main road.
Let’s Explore the Neela Wahan Trail first.
Main Entrance View
On the way down to the pond, I felt so delighted to see cows grazing on shrubs. Such is an amusement for city dwellers who only get to appreciate simple things when in a rural area. The good thing that comes out of urban life, my urbanized life enables me to see value and beauty in the mundane.
Main Entrance View
The wide and open extent of rocky mountains was also noticeable.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step the village View from the top….The perfect place to spend the time in the nature and to celebrate life.
Neela wahan Valley View from the top.
Breath taking and Eye-catching view of Neela wahan Ponds from the village top.
The track is full of adventure with ups & downs rocky barren and bushy mountains & eye pleasing nature view.
Neela Wahan Rocky barren Track
The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step … Descent in mountains Thorny shrubs… OUCH!! More Thorny shrubs.
Thorny Shrubs on Rocky Trails
A 50 minutes downhill track leads to the first 3 ponds. There are a lot of other ponds available being generated by the same stream. So if you have time , do explore the area.
At very first we reached to the first pool, the scene of a great wall of mountain behind the pool makes its view more attractive. The water spring is coming out from the mountain wall. The radius of the pool this pool is not so big but around 5 meters.
The amazing factor of the first pool is the tinny fishes and crabs in it. Of course man is the biggest animal of the world so unlike the others the crab is also frightened from the man. Sometimes, they come out for sunshine, as the water is cold, but we can see them clearly in the water surface.
Meet the Mr.Crab at Neela Wahan Pond
Water surface of the pool is much zigzagged but could easily walk able, you can have a good bath in it but it’s better that if you know swimming. Lol 😀
Second and third pools are not more than 30 meters away from the first pool, so it’s good that if you have a guide over there and if not then mountaineers can easily find the track and others as well. Second and third pools are in 2 steps. One is on top and the second is at bottom. These pools are bigger in size, the radius of is around 20 to 40 meters.
The fourth pool I think more than 2 or 3 yards away. As we were new to this place and due to shortage of time we could not reached to that pool, but we had enjoyed a lot.
Above all, the Neela wahan is a place worth tracking, swimming and for picnic. You can carry the food stuff and can have Bar-B-Q there. Even you can have camping there and can spend a night as well.
In all my travels, specifically nature trips, I consider watching the sunset the ultimate experience. Standing on the edge of the hill’s crest at that incredible moment made me feel I’m indeed part of one of the most spectacular sights in the Universe—of something important.
Once again, I was stunned at how the unique harmony of colors starts to seep through the rustic sky of Neela Wahan Valley. While I was marveling at the sunset, I realized just how it mirrors life’s cycle of duality. The sun must create a space and time for darkness. Think of the hard times and the good times or the dark tunnel and the light at the end of it.
At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to grasp that beauty and truth, which is held within a sunset.
The main reasons why I took this Tour were to recharge my batteries, disconnect from the hurly-burly of our urban lives, to catch the sunset up a hill, to sooth my soul by spending time near to nature.
It was good to get away from work and the ‘ol routine. Maybe next time I’ll stay overnight with family and go Aab-e-shifa!

Chapli Kebab Pizza
This pizza is so easy to make with left over Chapli Kebab’s with the cheesy topping….nobody could resist. I added dried Italian herbs to the pizza base and that gave a subtle Italian flavor with the Pakistani flavored topping. And just followed my heart to a logical conclusion. I took the shortcut and used the Chili Garlic sauce in place of pizza sauce and lessen cheese to keep it healthy and low fat( you can add more cheese). Well… I needn’t explain what the result was. The recipe finding its place in this blog itself says it all….. Right???
So why go to pizza hut…when you can make healthy homemade ones?? This pizza was a huge hit with my family try it…you will love me more, honestly 🙂
